Climate in Sierra Leone
The climate in Sierra Leone is tropical almost all year round. The winter is the dry season and a rainy season due to winter monsoon. The monsoon hits the northern part of the from May-November and the southern area from April- November. The western part is flat and the eastern part is covered in mountains. The highest one is Mount Bintumami, which stands over 6000 feet.over The average amount of rain per year is usually from 80-120 inches. The average temperatures in the winter range from 72 to 75 degrees. In February is when the temperatures start rising. In the summer months of june-september, there’s not that much sunlight, mostly covered by clouds that bring heavy rain. The amount per month in that 4 month span is 10 inches. The average temperature during this time is 86 degrees.
